Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AreYouNewHere ("we," "our") collects when a business uses our platform, and when a guest scans a campaign QR code and submits feedback.

Information we collect from business accounts

  • Email address, company name, and contact details you provide at signup
  • A PIN, stored as a one-way hash — we never store or can see your PIN in plain text
  • Campaign configuration, questions, and branding you set up

Information we collect from survey submissions

  • Rating and any optional answers a guest provides
  • Contact information (email/phone), only if the guest opts in — never required to submit feedback
  • Technical signals used solely for submission-confidence scoring: IP-based location, approximate device fingerprint, and (if permitted) browser GPS location

These technical signals are used to flag low-confidence or abusive submissions. They are never sold, and feedback is never blocked based on them — only flagged for the business's own review.

How information is used

  • To operate the dashboard, campaigns, and analytics a business uses
  • To generate AI-written summaries of feedback trends for that business
  • To send account emails: login codes, verification codes, and (if opted in) outreach on a business's behalf

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Feedback and contact data belong to the business that collected it. We use SendGrid to deliver transactional email; no other third parties receive personal data except as needed to operate the service.

Data retention & requests

Businesses can delete individual responses at any time from their dashboard. To request deletion of your own data as a survey respondent, or for any other privacy question, contact us at pamidstate@gmail.com.

Cookies & local storage

The dashboard stores a login session token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. Survey pages use short-lived session storage to track a single feedback submission and are not used for cross-site tracking.
